Facility Maintenance & Cleaning Staff

PT or FT flexible employees to join our existing team of maintenance and cleaning staff.
 

Required Job Specific Functions: (include, but are not limited to) light lunch and meal preparation, service and cleanup, room set-up of chairs, tables, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, wiping, washing, polishing, buffing and dusting of floors, carpet & upholstery, walls, windows, and doors; trash and recycling removal; cleaning & replenishing restrooms; stairwells, offices and other areas as required. Possible seasonal exterior work including snow & weed removal, light landscaping.

Additional Skill Set: (not required but useful) the ability to perform basic electrical, plumbing, painting & general repairs. Knowledge of audio/visual & livestream set-up.

Job Specific Physical Demands: (include, but are not limited to) standing, walking, lifting, bending, repetitive movements, inside and outside work environment.

Youth & Family Positions:

Temple Emanu-El is looking for caring, enthusiastic, committed youth staff who are passionate about cultivating a love of Judaism for the next generation.  We have the following job openings available.  Please contact Rachel Cohn, Director of Youth Education and Engagement at Temple Emanu-El, for additional details about these positions!  rcohn@teprov.org 

1) Assistant youth advisor - work on planning and logistics for events for 6th - 12th graders and attend the events. Our lead youth advisor is working with a student board to plan events, and the assistant advisor would be the main person to book rooms, do cost estimates, reserve rental cars, etc. Time commitment: 4-5 hrs / week. Compensation: $3,000 for the school year.

2) Family Programming assistant - help with food prep, materials prep, spreadsheets, emails, running activities for kids at events, and other assorted planning tasks related to various family programs at the synagogue. Time commitment: 5-6 hours / week. Compensation: $4,000 for the school year. 

3) Tuesday religious school cooking & admin assistant - help with food prep for our "Tuesday dinner" program (cook pizza, pancakes, chick'n nuggets, etc.), serve as a general additional adult for our Tuesday afternoon Hebrew school program if kids need to call home, need a band aid, need reminders to go to their next class, etc. Time commitment: Tuesdays 4 - 7 pm. Compensation: $2,000 for the year
