[headshot] Pam Kaitin-MillerOn behalf of our clergy, staff, lay leaders, and entire congregation, welcome to Temple Emanu-El! Whether you’re already a member, considering joining, or just visiting, we’re truly glad you’re here.

Temple Emanu-El is a vibrant and growing Conservative synagogue that has served as a center of Jewish life on the historic East Side of Providence, Rhode Island, for over 100 years. We offer meaningful opportunities for prayer, learning, community, and connection for people of all ages and backgrounds.

Our synagogue is alive with activity — from programs for families with young children to adult learning, teen engagement, cultural events, and a wide range of worship experiences. Whether you're drawn to traditional Shabbat services in the Sanctuary, the lay-led Minyan Hadash, Soulful Shabbat — a renewal-style, meditative service — or Shabbat B’Magal (Shabbat in the Round), you’ll find something that resonates with you. We also offer Junior Congregation, a weekly early morning Shabbat service, and Shabbat Chai — an interactive musical service held several times a year.

Our daily minyanim meet every day of the year. On the High Holidays, we offer a variety of services including Family Services, Junior Congregation, and specially designed activities for young children.

Temple Emanu-El is proud to be a community that is both traditional and progressive — inclusive of people of all genders, sexual orientations, and household compositions. Our members include academics, artists, professionals, and seekers — people who express their Judaism in diverse and meaningful ways.

We are a growing congregation, energized by new members, creative programming, and a shared commitment to building a strong, inclusive, and dynamic Jewish future. We strive to meet the spiritual, educational, and cultural needs of all who walk through our doors. With eleven distinct types of Shabbat services, robust learning opportunities, engaging family programs, arts and music events, and social action initiatives, there’s a place for everyone at Temple Emanu-El.

I invite you to explore our website to learn more about who we are and what we offer. Whether you’re new to the community or have been with us for years, I would be happy to connect. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any questions, suggestions, or just to say hello — I can be reached at president@teprov.org.

We look forward to getting to know you and hope Temple Emanu-El can become a meaningful part of your Jewish journey.

B’Shalom,

Jeff Levy
Temple Emanu-El President
