Friday Highlights:
- Friday night April 28, at 6:00 PM join us for Kabbalat Shabbat, Ma'ariv, Dinner and then stay to hear from Aaron Lansky the Founder and President of the Yiddish Book Center.
- Aaron will be speaking on: "How we saved a million Yiddish books and why they still matter."
- Dinner reservations are sold out. The lecture at 8:15 PM is open to the public.
- Join us Shabbat morning for a freilich service, kiddush lunch and special guest speaker, Dr. Hankus Netsky, Co-Chair of Contemporary Musical Arts at New England Conservatory, Founder of Klezmer Conservatory Band.
- Dr. Netsky will be speaking on the historic and cultural roots of Yiddish music and his role in helping to revive Eastern European Jewish musical culture.
Saturday night April 29, come for an evening of simcha with music, dancing and noshing with Mamaliga, critically acclaimed Klezmer band and Adah Hetko, Yiddish dance leader.
- Desserts and music begin at 8:00PM.
- Tickets are available at the door. Tickets: $15.00
- Join us on April 30 for a trip to the world's first Yiddish museum, the home to permanent and visiting exhibits on Yiddish and Jewish Culture!
- We will be arranging for a small bus plus some carpooling. Please fill out the form by March 27 so we can give our numbers to the Yiddish Book Center. The museum tour costs $8.
- We will be leaving around 12:00 PM and our tour will begin promptly at 2:30.
