Speak to the Israelite people thus: In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall observe complete rest, a sacred occasion commemorated with loud blasts.

Leviticus 23:24

Hearing the shofar is among the most memorable and moving moments during the month of Elul and the High Holy Day season. Although the shofar will be sounded during the streamed service, we'd like to enable everyone to hear it in-person as well.

As a result, we are arranging to have the shofar sounded live on the second day of Rosh Hashanah, Sunday, September 19 in the afternoon at various locations in both Providence and around the state.

Since the Shofar is not sounded on Shabbat, it will only be blown on the second day of Rosh Hashanah.

Additionally, we’d like to arrange private shofar-sounding experiences for people with mobility/health issues during the days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

We need your help to create this experience!

Please click HERE and let us know if you would like to sound the shofar during the month of Elul or the High Holy days. You can also let us know about interesting locations where it should be sounded or to request a private in-person shofar-sounding.

Thank you in advance for all your suggestions and help to make this program a resounding success!
