Membership in Temple Emanu-El is open to everyone. Perhaps you are seeking a place for a faith-full and rich study of Torah; or perhaps you want to meet and build friendships with new people. You may be Jewish but want to add more Jewishness to your life; or, you are not now Jewish and you want to see what Jewish life has to offer. Whether you are married or single or partnered, have children or don’t, are younger or older, Temple Emanu-El has many ways and ideas for how you can enjoy synagogue life.

Synagogue members make a commitment to support the work of the synagogue financially. The Board of Trustees sets standard levels of dues each year for one-person households and multi-person households, and for different age brackets. But we are also firmly resolved that financial means will never be a bar to membership.

Attention Prospective Members!

Temple Emanu-El is offering FREE membership for your first year! No, we are not kidding! We are convinced that once you have tried us for a year, you will want to become permanent members.

This offer is good for the first year of membership to those applicants who are under 30 years of age. For those over 30, membership is equal to one half the regular rate for the applicable age category.

We will be happy to send you informational materials and meet with you at your convenience. We can even arrange to have a current member call you to get a more personal side of our community. We would be happy to welcome you to Shabbat morning services and provide you with a host for that morning to show you around. If you are coming from out of town, let us know and we would be happy to have a member host you for a traditional Shabbat dinner on Friday evening. We welcome all that you will add to our diverse community!
