Music is the heart and soul of Jewish worship and ritual practice. At Temple Emanu-El we are proud of our blend of traditional and innovative music in our services. We are committed to transmitting our musical traditions in a participatory style. Toward that end, our Shabbat morning services have evolved into a weekly spiritual songfest. The level of congregational participation is second to none.
To foster an appreciation for Jewish Music, we offer a wide range of musical ensembles. Our four choirs, Klezmer band, and for special events, our chamber orchestra, provide our congregants with multiple opportunities for musical and spiritual enrichment. Our ensembles include over 100 participants from ages 8 past 80 singing in concerts, special events, High Holy Day services, and most recently, the production of Kolot Emanu-El, our fabulous new CD.
