Activities: Leisure Club

Leisure Club

The Leisure Club is a community group for older adults sponsored by Temple Emanu-El. It offers Jewish and general educational, social and cultural programs in a Jewish setting.

It meets on Mondays and Thursdays for two hours, from October through May and once a month on Sundays, and once a week during the summer months.  The group strives to bring in exciting and diverse speakers from the community.

Many professors and graduate students from Brown University and RISD have taught courses, as well as Rabbis, Cantors, Jewish educators and other Jewish Communal professionals.
There is a small membership fee that helps support the activities of the group, and there is a Board of Directors that plans and runs all the programs. New ideas and new members are always welcome! For more information, contact our Coordinator, Miriam Abrams Stark, at the Temple.
